The Orion StarShoot Deep-Space (SSDS) CCD Color Imaging Camera is a cooled single shot CCD camera used for astrophotography. The above photo shows the SSDS camera mounted on a Tele Vue TV-60, 60mm refractor (360mm focal length, f/6.0 focal ratio) telescope. The red Orion Telescopes and Binoculars Apex 90mm and 1X are used as a finders. An Orion EQ-3 mount is used. The FOV is 46.6 arc minutes wide by 36.1 arc minutes high.
Above photo was taken at OSP 2006. It is the Orion StarShoot Deep-Space CCD Color Imaging camera, Edmund Optics T-Mount 25mm extension tube (48mm barrel), Baader Planetarium T-2 Quick Changer System (PDF) (T2-06 and T2-07) which I bought at OSP 2006, Vixen flip mirror, Orion 80 mmED refractor and Orion Sirius EQ-G mount. The FOV is 28 arc minutes wide by 21.6 arc minutes high.
To achieve focus with the for Orion 80 mmED refractor and the Orion StarShoot camera I removed the Vixen flip mirror straight through eyepiece holder on the back of the Vixen flip mirror and used the Edmund Optics T-Mount 25mm extension tube (48mm barrel) directly on the Orion StarShoot camera and a Baader Planetarium T-2 Quick Changer System (T2-06 and T2-07) to attach the other end of the T-Mount 25mm extension tube to the Vixen flip mirror. The Baader Planetarium T-2 Quick Changer allows the rotation of the Orion StarShoot camera to be adjusted when mounted with the Orion StarShoot camera T treads. A TeleVue 32mm Plossl was used on the top port of the Vixen flip mirror.

Measuring StarShoot case Temperature
The StarShoot case temperature is measured with an old Radio Shack thermometer clipped to the back StarShoot fin with a metal clip from a conference name badge. Use a pliers to flatten out one side of the clip so it fits between the StarShoot fins.
