The Moon is the closest celestial object to the Earth and is observed by using all four observing methods: unaided eyes without optical aids, binoculars, telescopes and cameras.
Useful items for Moon observing
There are many resources that can help you in Moon observing. An excellent freeware program is the Virtual Atlas of the Moon by Patrick Chevalley and Christian Legrand.
New Moon to new Moon is a Moon synodic month which is an average of 29.53 days (29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, 2.8 seconds). The Moon is waxing from new Moon to full Moon and the Moon is waning from full Moon to new Moon.
